About

I have been a software engineer for over 30 years and have always maintained an avid interest in mathematics and the sciences.  But I also have found there are other areas of human experience that are just as valid but may not lend themselves to scientific analysis.

For example, a scientist can explain why white light breaks up into a spectrum of colors, why the sky is blue, and why sunsets display their colors.  But what they can’t explain is why we universally experience awe and wonder when we see a beautiful sunset.  I do not take this as a deficiency in science; rather, it shows that even the powerful tools of science are limited and do not apply to every aspect of existence.

Hopefully this blog will provide an environment where such ideas and discussions can flourish.

But science doesn’t explain why it explains how. Why implies teleology which is what the religious folk deal in.
